Becoming a Lady

Today I've decided to become a lady.
How does one decide this? And when are you ready to become a lady?
I'm a girl and a lady. I've been more of a girl than a lady mostly, depending on a man to come and rescue me and love me unconditionally..
But how can a man love me unconditionally, when I don't even love myself unconditionally?
"I am beautiful no matter what they say, words can't bring me down"
- Christina Aguilera
We should all listen more to miss Aguilera, because she is so right about this.
We are all beautiful, beautiful creatures with so much to offer. We don't need anybody to make us whole, because we are whole with our beautiful selves.
It takes a lot of work to transform from a girl to become a lady.
The most important thing in becoming a lady is self love and believing that you are worthy of succes and love.
So if you want to join me on the journey of becoming a lady.. read on!

I'm going to start from deep within, I have actually already done this for years: looking for my inner beauty, and looking in the mirror every morning and telling myself:
"Damn, you look so good today, you are beautiful, you are confident and you are worthy of succes and love!"
It works really well for me.
The things that I have found difficult, the things that I am working on everyday, is REALLY believing in myself. Because believing in yourself is the truely hard part of becoming a lady.

Here is a list of some ladies that I really look upto, my true inspiration to be more confident:

  • Marilyn Monroe
  • Audrey Hepburn
  • Demi Lovato
  • Beyonce
  • Krysten Ritter (especially from her role "Chloe" in apt 23)
  • Coco Chanel
  • Sarah Jessica Parker (especially from her role "Carrie Bradshaw" in Sex and the City)

And with this I will end my first blog entry, just one last quote:
